With our local presence, we are also supporting localised projects in the UK from feeding the homeless and providing blankets to the needy and supporting youth sports.
Together we provide immediate relief in emergency situations and provide mid-term to long-term solutions to poverty and empower people in Serving Communities Globally.

#TeamGRT – our humble beginnings
In 2009, a group of friends travelled in the epic ’Viva Palestina’ land convoy to Gaza. Inspired by their experience the volunteers spent the next several years supporting various campaigns and appeals across the world. Wanting to make a positive impact in the world and they had an aim of serving communities globally, thus Global Relief Trust (GRT) came into being. In the last few years, we have been working in over a dozen countries, including Bangladesh, Yemen, Burundi, Syria, Lebanon, Pakistan, Gaza, Kashmir and with the Rohingya. We have provided food, water, clothing, medical equipment and educational projects.
A note from the chairman – Zilu Miah
“It’s been an amazing past few years as Global Relief Trust have gone strength to strength in order to achieve our aim to help those in need, globally! We have had significant growth; always ensuring our beneficiaries, the most vulnerable the most needy, are at the heart of everything we do. This year, we have expanded into Africa for the first time, opening offices in Burundi and partnership in South Africa, with flagship projects in Burundi ensuring we are delivering aid to a nation that has been forgotten. 2019 also saw us working in Lebanon, providing emergency relief to over 10,000 Syrian Refugees. We would like to thank everyone who has been on this journey with us so far and for all of the contributions you have made, your donations have both saved lives and changed people’s lives in such a positive way. You are the real heroes.
